The Command of Blue

AZURE ADJURE
My life has suddenly become small and simple
but with a great patience and quiet.
I regret nothing with men I respect,
except with the small men,
who's philosophies have kept us apart.
I couldn't conceive or convince them,
but I suppose there are other rewards for enlightenment.
No matter what you've been told there is no Quid Pro Quo,
no matter what our facades, we are all children.
My life has become Cathartic,
and with many sleepless nights,
I have dreamed a lot, of you
and trembled a lot, of you.
When I was a boy, I played security
and now once again I visit tranquility.
Security, tranquility,
all the aims I have perused will soon be realized.
Life is a state of mind with no need for a lottery.
I take no missives from a Western union messenger,
I understand enough to be pleased and happy.
A delicate flower blossoms within my heart
and implores me to watch over her,
but then pricks me with past life thorns,
that aren't mine, I am not the past!
My past has left with light feet,
and a bright Sun adjures darkness.
But the impending rain clouds
contrast everything Azure.
